نقش صنایع نظامی در رشد اقتصادی ایران با استفاده از مدل تغییر رژیم مارکوف

بخش صنعت نظامی به دلیل راهبردی بودن آن و نقش حیاتی که در ایجاد امنیت کشورها دارد بسیار حائز اهمیت است. این صنعت بر بخش های مختلف اقتصاد و بالاخص رشد اقتصادی کشورها تاثیر گذار بوده و به تبع آن بر جایگاه اقتصادی آنها در سطح جهانی نیز موثر است. از این رو، هدف اصلی پژوهش حاضر، بررسی نقش صنایع نظامی در رژیم های مختلف رشد اقتصادی در ایران با استفاده از داده های 1970 تا 2021 و با بهره گیری از مدل تغییر رژیمی مارکوف می باشد.نتایج تحقیق حاکی از آن است که در یک مدل بهینه متشکل از دو رژیم با رشد اقتصادی پایین (رژیم صفر – 4.2%) و رشد اقتصادی بالا (رژیم یک – 6%) تولیدات صنایع نظامی اثر مثبتی بر رشد اقتصادی دارد اما این اثر تنها در رژیم یک معنادار است. همچنین، سرمایه گذاری مستقیم خارجی و صادرات، تنها در دوره هایی که رشد اقتصادی بالاتر است بر روند رشد تاثیرگذارند؛ اما آموزش در هر دو رژیم، تاثیر مثبتی بر رشد اقتصادی دارد و اندازه دولت در هر دو رژیم و نرخ تورم تنها در رژیم یک موجب تضعیف رشد اقتصادی می گردند. علاوه بر این، یافته های تحقیق حاکی از آن است که احتمال پایداری و ماندن در رژیم با رشد اقتصادی پایین در دوره‌های آتی بیشتر از رژیم با رشد اقتصادی بالاتر می باشد.

the role of military industries in iran’s economic growth with using the markov switching model

the military industry sector is very important because of its strategic nature and the vital role it plays in creating the security of countries. this industry affects different sectors through different channels on the economic position of countries and their economic growth. hence, the main goal of the current research is to investigate the role of military industries in different regimes of economic growth in iran with using data from 1970 to 2021 and applying markov regime switching models. the results of the research indicate that in an optimal model consisting of two regimes with low economic growth (regime zero) and high economic growth (regime one), the production of military industries has a positive effect on economic growth in iran, but this effect is significant only in regime one. moreover, foreign direct investment and export also affect the growth process only in the periods when the economic growth is higher, but education in both regimes has a positive effect on economic growth. finally, the government size in both regimes and the inflation rate only in the regime one weakens economic growth. in addition, the findings of the research indicate that the probability of staying in the regime with low economic growth in the coming periods is higher than the regime with higher economic growth.
