ارزیابی دیدگاه طه عبدالرحمن در باب رابطه عقل و اخلاق

تحلیلِ رابطه‌ی عقل و اخلاق قدمتی به درازایِ تاریخِ اندیشه دارد و فیلسوفان از یونانِ باستان تا کنون همواره دغدغه‌ای جدی برای ارزیابیِ این رابطه داشته‌اند. طه عبدالرحمن فیلسوفِ نام آشنایِ مراکشی که در زمره‌ی متفکرانِ جریان‌سازِ جهانِ اسلام به شمار می‌رود نیز تلاش دارد با واکاوی مفهومِ عقل و اخلاق و سنجیدنِ نسبتِ میان این دو، طرحی نو در‌افکند. در اندیشه‌یِ وی عقلانیتِ مدرن عنصری است که در برابرِ اخلاق قرار می‌گیرد. وی برای شناختِ ماهیتِ عقل، از سه گونه عقل نام می‌برد که تحلیل آنها برای فهم رابطه عقل و اخلاق ضروری است. عقلِ مجرّد، عقلِ مسدّد و عقلِ مویّد، تقسیم بندیِ ابتکاریِ عبدالرحمن است که می‌توان آن را زیربنای نظامِ اخلاقی وی دانست. در نظرِ وی آنچه میان انسان و حیوان فرق می‌نهد، اخلاق است نه عقل. عقلانیتی که مبتنی بر اخلاق باشد و پیوسته اخلاق را ناظر و حاکم بداند، دارای ارزش است نه آن عقلانیتی که با اخلاق بیگانه است. در این مقاله پس از تحلیلِ دو مفهومِ عقل و اخلاق در اندیشه عبدالرحمن به ارزیابی رویکردِ وی در بابِ رابطه عقل و اخلاق می‌پردازیم.

the analysis of the relationship between reason and ethics has a history as long as human thought itself, and philosophers from ancient times to the present have consistently been concerned with evaluating this relationship. taha abderrahmane, a renowned moroccan philosopher and a key figure in contemporary islamic thought, offers a fresh perspective on this issue. in his view, modern rationality is an element that often stands in opposition to ethics. abderrahmane seeks to rethink the relationship between reason and ethics, particularly within the context of islamic thought. his innovative categorization of reason into three types—independent reason, guided reason, and enlightened reason—is essential for understanding his ethical framework. according to him, what differentiates humans from animals is not reason, but ethics. rationality that is grounded in ethics, and which continuously regards ethics as its supervisor and guide, holds value, as opposed to rationality divorced from ethical considerations. this article analyzes abderrahmane's concepts of reason and ethics, and evaluates his approach to the relationship between the two.
