جدال فلسفی ژان ‌پل سارتر و میشل فوکو در رمان «پرواز بر فراز آشیانه فاخته»

ژان ‌پل سارتر با اصل سوژه شناسای خودبنیاد بر سه اصل اومانیستیِ آزادی، اختیار و انتخاب بر سرنوشت بشر صحه گذاشته‌است. آدمی آزاد است، در قبال خود و دیگران مسوولیت دارد و مجبور است دست به انتخاب بزند. در مقابل این تفکر با فلسفه میشل فوکو مواجه هستیم که بر میکروفیزیک قدرت با اِعمال تکنیک‌های مراقبتی، تکنولوژی‌های نظارتی، سوژه‌شدگی، انقیاد و تسلیم تاکید دارد. رمان «پرواز بر فراز آشیانه فاخته» نوشته کن کیزی، محل جدال این دو مدل فلسفی است. این پژوهش با روش توصیفی_تحلیلی چنین یافته‌است که سرپرستار رچد و سه پسر سیاه پوست و دیگر کارکنان نمایندگان فوکو هستند. مک‌مورفی، رئیس‌برومدن، هاردینگ و دیگر بیماران، نمایندگان وانهاده، نگران و گاهی نومید سارتر هستند که برای رسیدن به آزادی دست به انتخاب و عمل می‌زنند. غلبه مک‌مورفی بر بخش، غلبه مدل اندیشه ساتر بر فوکو است و وارد کردن مک‌مورفی به دسته گیاهان، با عمل جراحی لوبوتومی به‌دستور پرستار رچد، غلبه مدل اندیشه فوکو بر سارتر است؛ اما درنهایت با فرار برومدن و رسیدنش به آزادی، سارتر پیروز میدان است.
