تمهیدات فرمالیستی در تایپوگرافی کتاب ‌های تصویری گروه سنی «الف» و «ب»

مطالعۀ تایپوگرافی در کتاب‌های تصویری کودک یکی از حلقه‌های واصل دو رشتۀ گرافیک و ادبیات کودک است. از آنجا که کودک با زبان دیداری بیش از زبان خوانداری ارتباط برقرار می‌کند؛ برجسته‌سازی دیداریِ نوشتار در کتاب‌های کودک شگردی رایج است. در همین راستا، ضمن تحدید دامنۀ تحقیق به کتاب‌های تصویری گروه سنی «الف» و «ب»، جامعۀ هدف شامل تایپوگرافی‌های فارسی و انگلیسی است که علاوه بر وجه تزئینی، محملِ معنای متنِ نوشتاریشان نیز هستند. هدف از این پژوهش بررسی تمهیدات گرافیکی‌ای است که می‌تواند با گسترش معنای کلمات از سطح زبان‌شناختی به سطح بصری با کودک ارتباط مفهومی برقرار کند. «تمهید» اصطلاحی است که شکلوفسکی، نظریه‌پرداز فرمالیست، برای اشاره به شگردهای صوریِ به‌کاررفته در آثار ادبی و هنری پیشنهاد داده است. در همین راستا، این مقاله با رهیافتی فرمالیست در پی پاسخ به چگونگی کارکرد معناییِ سازه‌های بصری در عباراتِ تایپوگرافیک است. روش پژوهش، تحلیلی‌ توصیفی و نمونه‌گیری به روش هدفمند غیراحتمالی انجام شده است.

the study of typography in children’s picture books serves as a crucial link between the fields of graphic design and children’s literature. given that children connect more effectively with visual language than with written language, the visual enhancement of text in children’s books has become a prevalent strategy. accordingly, the research scope is confined to picture books for age groups ’a’ and ’b’, with the target population encompassing persian and english typographies that serve not only a decorative purpose but also as carriers of the text’s meaning. the primary objective of this study is to investigate graphic devices that facilitate a conceptual connection with children by transitioning the meaning of words from a linguistic framework to a visual representation. the term ’device’ is a concept articulated by shklovsky, a prominent formalist theorist, to denote the formal techniques employed in literary and artistic expressions. in this context, this article employs a formalist approach to explore how the semantic functions of visual constructs operate within typographic expressions. the research methodology adopted is descriptive-analytical, employing a non-probabilistic purposive sampling technique.
