   the relationship between metacognitive beliefs and perfectionism with rumination in multiple sclerosis patients

چکیده    Aims: the current study aimed to investigate the relationship between metacognitive beliefs and perfectionism concerning rumination among individuals with multiple sclerosis. this research sought to understand how these psychological factors contribute to the exacerbation of symptoms in multiple sclerosis patients.instrument & methods: this correlational study involved a sample of 160 patients with multiple sclerosis from the multiple sclerosis association of yazd in 2024. participants completed psychological assessments using the frost multidimensional perfectionism scale, the metacognitions questionnaire, and the ruminative response scale. statistical analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (regression analysis) with spss 29 software.findings: there was a significant positive correlation between metacognitive beliefs, perfectionism, and rumination in patients with multiple sclerosis (p<0.001). hierarchical regression analysis and correlation tests showed that rumination could be predicted by both metacognitive beliefs and perfectionism in this population.conclusion: there was a significant association between metacognitive beliefs and perfectionism with rumination in ms patients.
