|
Imatinib (ima) is a common chemotherapy drug for the treatment of leukemia and can potentially lead to drug resistance and toxicity during the course of treatment. monitoring ima concentrations in body fluids is necessary to optimize therapeutic schedules and avoid overdosage [1-3]. in this research, the synthesis, fabrication steps and characterization of a new modified glassy carbon electrode (gce) with cufe2o4 magnetic nanoparticles coupled zeolitic imidazolate framework (zif-8) embedded graphene quantum dots (gqds), (cufe2o4/zif-8@gqd), for the electrodetermination of imatinib (imb) anti-cancer drug are reported. the modification of gce with cufe2o4/zif-8@gqd nanocomposite creates a suitable electrocatalytic activity against the oxidation of imb molecules on the electrode surface and thus improves the detection performance. moreover, the morphology, structure, composition, and electrochemical properties of the constructed modified electrode were characterized using sem, tem, xrd, cv, and eis.electrochemical studies illustrated that the constructed modified electrode; cufe2o4/zif-8@gqd/gce, exhibits superior electrocatalytic performance on the oxidation of imb compared with the bare gce, gqd/gce, zif-8@gqd/gce, cufe2o4/gce and cufe2o4@gqd/gce which can be attributed to the synergistic effect of the outstanding magnetic and electrical properties of cufe2o4/zif-8@gqd and the high conductivity of gqd, as well as the further electron transport rate of the nanocomposite. under optimized conditions, the developed cufe2o4/zif-8@gqd/gce sensor has static properties such as wide linear range responses (0.02-11.85 and 11.85-94.2 μm) and low detection limit (0.0012 μm). it should be noted that the cufe2o4/zif-8@gqd/gce sensor could be used for determination of imb in biological samples, indicating its feasibility for real analysis.
