This paper presents a step-up dc-dc converter, which is designed around a triple-winding coupled inductor (twci) and voltage multiplier cells (vmcs). the suggested structure comprises one power switch, a twci, four diodes, and four capacitors. the converter can achieve high voltage gain by selecting the duty cycle and the turn ratio of the coupled inductor (ci), which avoids operating at an extreme duty ratio. besides, the power switch has been located on the converter s low-voltage side, which tolerates low-voltage stress. therefore, the switch selected from low-voltage rating switches with low on-resistance reduces the conduction losses and improves the efficiency. the operating principles and the steady-state analyses of the proposed converter are illustrated in detail. the performance of the proposed converter is verified through simulation in matlab/simulink to justify the analysis.
