چکیده    Conventional synchro to digital converters (sdcs) and digital to synchro converters (dscs) typically process signals in resolver format, requiring the conversion of synchro output signals into resolver format and vice versa using scott-t transformers. however, this approach complicates systems and makes synchros less practical. this article proposes an alternative method that doesn t rely on scott-t transformers, focusing on winding arrangements to convert three phases to two phases. the configuration of windings significantly impacts accuracy and costs, especially for wound rotor (wr) synchros. the article introduces an approach to determine efficient winding configurations, particularly for synchros with varying pole pair and tooth count requirements. to validate this method, time-stepping finite element method (ts-fem) is used, offering a promising alternative for simplifying synchro conversions and enhancing their practicality.
