چکیده
|
Diesel fuel is known as key energy supply source for road and railway, marine, and aviation transportation. with emerge of modern power plant technology, particularly in the case of gas turbine manufacturing, nowadays various diesel blends are commonly used for the aim of power production. however, the environmental issues regarding the combustion process of diesel are still the matter of concerns, particularly regarding the emission of soot particulate matters, and nitrogen oxides. one of the effective strategies of emission reduction is controlling the combustion process, which in turns requires identification of the fuel combustion and detailed investigation of the thermos-chemical phenomena, which specifically affect the combustion qualities, such as auto ignition behavior, primary ignition and flame specifications. this is done through kinetic modeling of combustion and development of the diesel surrogate model. to this end, the recently model published model of the authors group for diesel combustion is implemented to further investigation of fuel combustion behavior. this includes mainly numerical study of the early ignition phenomenon, which is known as a phenomenon, which directly influences the nitrogen oxide emission. as well, the production of poly aromatic hydrocarbons as the main soot precursors under different operational conditions is studied.
