چکیده    This study presents a 20-year water-food-energy nexus model tailored for ensuring energy and food security in the varamin plain region of iran. the research outcomes are in line with iran s commitments to the paris agreement and offer actionable insights for policymakers to enact climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies. despite constraints on land and water resources, the study illustrates how a region can attain food and energy security while creating substantial employment opportunities. the integration of renewable energy development and emissions reduction strategies emerges as pivotal in curbing emissions and fostering job creation, thereby informing holistic energy, food, and employment policies that contribute to sustainable development objectives. notably, the model s sensitivity to gas and electricity prices underscores the significant influence of pricing dynamics on renewable energy infrastructure development and electricity generation patterns. the research also delves into the impact of energy pricing on technology adoption and consumption behaviors. in essence, the transition to renewable energy presents not only a climate change solution but also a pathway to sustainable job growth and enhanced food and energy security on a regional scale. these insights offer valuable guidance for policymakers and stakeholders in crafting effective policies, with the potential for adaptation to other regions while considering their unique attributes.
