The creation of the fossil fuel reduction crisis, environmental pollution, the need to create diversity in the energy production portfolio, and the ever-increasing need for energy efficiency concepts can be seen as factors that make the role of the renewable energy production more prominent. among renewable energy sources, marine energy is considered one of the most promising source of energy. in this study, the focus was on investigating the sea currents and pseudo-hydrodynamics of the qeshm canal and the persian gulf bridge in iran, employing a two-dimensional model. the research aimed to analyze the flow velocity pattern and time history of the qeshm canal before and after its construction. mike 21 software was utilized to examine the hydrodynamics of sea currents in the qeshm channel. for power generation on the persian gulf bridge, three types of turbines were evaluated to be installed on the bridge foundation. among them, the venturi lunar energy turbine demonstrated the highest power production, while the c-gen turbine exhibited the lowest power generation. by selecting the venturi lunar energy turbine, approximately 300 mwh of power could be generated each year. this research is important for developing the energy hub to explore the use of different energy resources including marine energy for a region.
