evaluation of capital supply in the electricity industry: comparing the two methods of mutual sale and guaranteed purchase

Due to the numerous problems in the development of the electricity industry, there is an absolute need to invest in the electricity industry and finance projects for the construction of electrical facilities. on the other hand, it is not possible to provide these resources from the general state budgets. in other words, financing is currently the most important crisis in the electricity and energy industry of the country. therefore, it is necessary to think about ways to finance the electricity and energy industry and use other methods of financing and new tools of the domestic and foreign capital market. currently, there are many projects that have been stopped or have not been launched due to lack of financing. in this research study, by examining the common methods of capital supply in the electricity industry, the efficiency of two mutual sales contracts and guaranteed purchase in the development of the steam sector of gas power plants is investigated. the purpose of this article is to examine the conditions of different methods of financing and to reach a solution to attract investors. according to the results, the investment returns in cross-selling contracts are shorter and the internal rate of return is higher than the guaranteed purchase contract. if the mentioned contracts are amended, the private sector can solve the problem of electricity supply in the coming years.
