مطالعه زمین باستان شناسی سرامیک های باستانی به منظور تعیین مواد سازنده و منشایابی آنها (مطالعه موردی: سفالینه-های باستانی محوطه کهنک سربیشه، خراسان جنوبی)

زمین باستان شناسی به عنوان یکی از شاخه های باستان سنجی به کاربرد علوم زمین در حل مسائل مربوط به باستان شناسی می-پردازد. یکی از کاربردهای علم رسوب شناسی در مطالعات باستان شناسی، بررسی پتروگرافی رسوبی مقاطع نازک سرامیک های باستانی است. محوطه باستانی کهنک، در فاصله 50 متری روستای کهنک و جنوب شهرستان سربیشه (خراسان جنوبی) واقع شده است. در مطالعه پتروگرافی مقاطع نازک سفالینه های باستانی این محوطه (7 نمونه سفالی) خمیره ی سفال ها به سه جزء ماتریکس رسی، انکلوزیون ها یا مواد افزودنی و حفره ها تفکیک شده است. به منظور تعیین منشا مواد سازنده سفال های این محوطه، ترکیب پتروگرافی مواد افزودنی موجود در بدنه سفال با نمونه های قطعات گراولی پراکنده در اطراف محوطه، رسوبات و گراول های رودخانه-ای مجاور محوطه و واحدهای زمین شناسی محدوده مورد مطالعه مقایسه شده است. تشابه ترکیب پتروگرافی انکلوزیون های آواری سفال های فوق با داده های ذکر شده، محلی یا بومی بودن این مصنوعات باستانی را اثبات می کند.

geoarchaeological study of ancient ceramics in order to determine their building materials and their provenance (case study: ancient pottery of kahnek ancient site of sarbisheh, southern khorasan)

as one of the branches of archaeometry, geoarchaeology deals with the application of earth sciences in solving problems related to archaeology. one of the applications of sedimentology in archeological studies is the investigation of sedimentary petrography of thin sections of ancient ceramics. the ancient site of kahnek is located 50 meters away from kahnek village and southern of sarbisheh city (southern khorasan). in the petrographic study of the ancient pottery of this area the thin sections (7 pottery samples), the pottery paste has been separated into three components: clay matrix, inclusions or additives, and voids. in order to determine the origin of the materials that make up the pottery of this site, the petrographic combination of additives in the pottery body has been compared with gravel fragments scattered around the site, sediments and river gravels adjacent to the site and geological rock units. the similarity of the petrographic composition of the above pottery debris inclusions with the mentioned data proves that these ancient artefacts are local or indigenous
