چکیده    In this study, tar pitch based activated carbon impregnated by zero-valent iron nanoparticles was synthesized as heterogeneous fenton catalysts for degradation of methylene blue solution and characterized by xrd, bet, and fesem techniques. the tac/nzvi catalyst displayed good activity in removing highly concentrated methylene blue solution (50 mg l-1) near neutral ph, where decolorization was measured as a response. finally, the results shown the tac/nzvi is a recyclable heterogeneous fenton catalyst that is able to remove methylene blue from water completely in 35 minutes.
