چکیده    The use of cladded steel pipes is an economical solution in applications requiring local high corrosion resistance. however, welding these pipes poses its own challenges. in the present study, the buttering process is examined in dissimilar welding of cladded to non-cladded pipes. the microstructure and corrosion resistance of weldments were investigated. for this purpose, the shielded metal arc welding method and inconel 182 filler metal were employed. the heat-affected zones and base metal were examined in terms of microstructure and corrosion resistance. it was observed that the buttering process has a positive effect on mixing of different metals and reduction of dilution. however, the corrosion resistance of the weldment remained almost unchanged after buttering.
