|
Bismuth titanate (bi4ti3o12) ceramic was synthesized using the solid state reaction method. the effect of 0.5 mole% nano bi2o3 as sintering aid on the properties of bi4ti3o12 ceramic was investigated. it was found that the use of bi2o3 led to the improved densification of bi4ti3o12 ceramic and obtained a high density ceramic. the bi2o3 could reduce the bismuth evaporation. the results indicated that the addition of bi2o3, the higher dielectric constant, the lower dielectric loss and good dielectric stability were reached for bi4ti3o12 ceramics. a high dielectric constant, which is about twice that of the pure sample, was obtained.
