investigation of common catalysts in hydrogenation of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (htpb)

Hydrogenation is of particular importance as a method for modifying the properties of unsaturated polymers. different catalysts can be used for industrial hydrogenation of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (htpb). despite the long history of industrial use of these catalysts, in order to improve the hydrogenation process, a deep understanding of the hydrogenation process by these catalysts seems necessary. this study investigates the available literature on common hydrogenation catalysts. the results show that the hydrogenation of htpb by ziegler type catalysts shows better advantages.
