چکیده
|
Transfer hydrogenation (th) reactions, which utilize hydrogen donors instead of molecular hydrogen, have emerged as sustainable alternatives in reduction chemistry. metal–organic frameworks (mofs), known for their tunable porosity and structural versatility, serve as excellent precursors for crafting advanced catalysts. upon pyrolysis, mofs can yield metal nanoparticles embedded within carbon matrices, enhancing catalytic activity and stability. this review delves into the recent advancements in mof-derived transition metal catalysts tailored for th reactions. emphasis is placed upon the design strategies, structural evolution, and functional performance of these catalysts in th processes, particularly in the context of sustainable and green chemistry. the discussion encompasses various transition metals, including noble and earth-abundant metals, and their roles in enhancing catalytic efficiency and selectivity. furthermore, the review highlights mechanistic insights, challenges, and future perspectives in the application of mof-derived catalysts for th reactions.
