چکیده
|
در این کار تجربی اثر قطبش نور در ضریب شکست غیر خطی کریستال مایع آلائیده با رنگینه مطالعه شده است. بدین منظور از سلول‌‌های کریستال مایع 5cb، آلائیده با رنگینه حلال سبز 3 با آرایش موازی و با ضخامت 50 میکرون استفاده شد و غیر خطیت آنها با لیزر هلیوم نئون در طول موج 632 نانومتر و با قطبش خطی با زوایای 0 تا 90 درجه نسبت به دایرکتور سلول‌ها بررسی گردید. مشاهده شد که ضریب شکست غیر خطی (n2) نمونه‌ها در تابش با قطبش موازی با دایرکتور منفی و با قطبش عمودی با دایرکتور مثبت است.

Abstract
|
in this experimental work, we have studied light polarization effects on the nonlinear refractive of dyed liquid crystal. therefore, homogenously aligned solvent green 3 dye doped 5cb liquid crystal cells with 50 micrometer thickness were used and their nonlinearity were investigated using linear polarized he-ne laser at 632 nm with polarization 0-90 degree with the director of cells. it was observed that in the parallel and orthogonal polarization of light relative of director the nonlinear refractive of samples is negative and positive respectively.
