غایتمندی افعال الهی از دیدگاه متکلمان اسلامی

بحث از غایت‌شناسی، به‌ویژه مسئله‌ غایتمندی افعال الهی، از مباحث مهم در حوزه‌ معارف دینی، مخصوصاً در علم کلام است. برای هر ذهن فعال و کنجکاوی، این مسئله مطرح است که آیا افعال الهی معلل به غرض و غایت است یا نه، به‌خصوص در حوزه‌ آفرینش که مهم‌ترین فعل الهی است  آیا می‌توان برای آفرینش الهی غرضی ترسیم کرد؟ و اگر پاسخ مثبت است، آن غرض چیست؟ دانشمندان اسلامی پیرامون غایتمندی افعال الهی دیدگاه‌های متفاوتی مطرح کرده‌اند، برخی با توجه بر مبانی آنها در پذیرش حسن و قبح عقلی، افعال الهی را غایتمند دانسته و نفی غایت در افعال الهی را مستلزم اشکالات عدیده‌ای دانسته‌اند که متکلمان امامیّه، معتزله و ماتریدیه، جزوه این گروه هستند. برخی دیگر، مانند اکثر اشاعره، با توجه به عدم پذیرش قاعده‌ حسن و قبح عقلی از طرف آنان، غایت در افعال الهی را نفی کرده‌اند. طایفه‌ای دیگر در مسئله، قائل به تفصیل شده‌اند، در نوشتارِ پیش‌رو، دلایل دیدگاه طوایف مختلف پیرامون غایتمندی افعال الهی مورد بررسی واقع می‌شود.
