بررسی گونه‌های ممنوعیّت زبانی و حسن تعبیر در منتخبی از رمان‌های معاصر با تکیه بر سگ و زمستان بلند و جزیره ی سرگردانی

«تابو» در مفهوم عام به «کلیه‌ رفتارهای اجتماعی ممنوع» اطلاق می‌شود که در زبان‌شناسی از آن به «ممنوعیّت در رفتارهای زبانی» تعبیر می‌شود؛ به دلیل اهمیّت فراوان این پدیده‌ زبانی، مطالعات بسیاری از جامعه‌شناسان زبان به این حوزه اختصاص یافته‌است. مستحسن و ستوده در مقابل واژگان تابو، برای اجتناب از بیان مفاهیم ناخوشایند به کار می‌روند. اغلب نویسندگان، برای نشان دادن منزلت اجتماعی و حفظ اعتبار اجتماعی خود برای بیان انواع گونه‌های ممنوعیت زبانی، از شگردها و ترفندهای حسن تعبیر بهره می‌گیرند. در این پژوهش با تکیه ‌بر روش توصیفی‌ تحلیلی، گونه‌های محدودیّت زبانی در دو رمان منتخب از رمان‌های معاصر، جزیره سرگردانی و سگ و زمستان بلند، مورد تحلیل قرار گرفته‌اند. داده‌های برآمده بیان‌گر آن است که در هر دو رمان موضوعاتی نظیر واژه‌های قبیح (فحش و ناسزا)، مشروبات الکلی و مواد مخدر، روابط آزاد دختر و پسر، مسائل مربوط به روابط جنسی، هم‌بستری، هم‌آغوشی، بوسیدن و اندام بدن تحت فرآیند به‌گویی قرار می‌گیرند. نویسندگان انواع محدودیت‌های زبانی را با شگردهایی چون مضاعف‌سازی، حذف، وام‌گیری واژگانی، استعاره، تضاد معنایی، کم‌گفت، رَدّ خُلف، واژه‌های مبهم و عبارات اشاره‌ای بیان می‌کنند.

analyzing linguistic taboos and euphemism in selected contemporary novels (case studies: the dog and the long winter and island of bewilderment)

taboo, in its general sense, refers to all prohibited social behaviors, and in linguistics, it is interpreted as prohibition in linguistic behaviors. due to the significant impact of this linguistic phenomenon, many sociolinguists have devoted studies to this area. euphemisms are used to replace unpleasant concepts with more acceptable expressions. in order to reflect social status and maintain their credibility, most writers employ various euphemistic strategies to express different types of linguistic prohibitions. using a descriptive-analytical method, we examine linguistic constraints in two selected contemporary novels: island of bewilderment and the dog and the long winter. findings indicate that in both novels, topics such as obscene words (profanity and insults), alcohol and drug use, romantic relationships, sexual matters, intimacy, kissing, and body parts undergo euphemistic transformations. both authors attempt to express various linguistic prohibitions using techniques such as reduplication, omission, lexical borrowing, metaphor, semantic opposition, understatement, paradoxical negation, ambiguous words, and referential expressions.
