بررسی مفهومی نقش و رابطه تمدن و تجدد در کتاب تنبیه الامه و تنزیه المله

تنبیه الامه و تنزیه المله اثری است که در دوره انقلاب مشروطه توسط آیت الله محمدحسن نائینی غروی نگاشته شد. هدف اصلی کتاب، نفی استبداد و ارائه ادله صحت حکومت مشروطه بر پایه شیعه است. از لابلای مطالب عدیده کتاب، علی رغم اشاره پراکنده به تمدن و تجدد،جایگاه و رابطه آن دو در نقد و نفی استبداد و تایید و تاکید بر مشروطیت واضح نیست، از این رو، تعریف دو مفهوم تمدن و تجدد و سنجش اولویت و ارجعیت آن مساله ای است که مقاله حاضر در پی رمزگشایی از آن است بنابراین، پرسش از اینکه علامه نائینی چه نقش و رابطه ای به تمدن و تجدد می دهد، پرسش نوشتار پیش روست. توضیحات نائینی دربار تمدن و تجدد، زوایای تازه ای از تفکر او را نمایان می سازد. کشف این زاویه های تازه هدف مقالۀ پیش روست. به نظر می رسد علامه نائینی تجدد را در قاموس شیعه تعریف و تحلیل می کند و در این راه، با زایل کردن وجوه مادی تجدد، تفاوت یاتی بین آن و تمدن قائل نیست. این نوشتار با بررسی مقایسه ای کتاب نگاه آیت الله نائینی به ارجاع تمدن یا تجدد را مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار داده و تاثیر این دو در اثبات حقانیت مشروطه را بررسی می کند. یافتۀ مهم این بررسی نشان از نقش بی مانند تمدن و تجدد در مشروطیت و مشروعیت نظام سیاسی و نیز حاکی از ارجعیت تمدنبه مثابۀ سنت بر تجدد به مثابۀ مدرنیته است.

conceptual examination of the role of civilization and modernity in the tanbih al-ummah and tanzih al-millah

abstract tanbiyyah al-uma wa tanziyyah al-mulleh is a work written by ayatollah mohammad hassan naini gharavi during the constitutional revolution. the main purpose of the book is to negate tyranny and present evidence of the correctness of the shia-based constitutional government. from the many contents of the book, despite the scattered reference to civilization and modernity, the place and relationship of the two in criticizing and negating tyranny and affirming and emphasizing constitutionalism is not clear, hence, defining the two concepts of civilization and modernity and assessing their priority it is a problem that the present article seeks to decipher. in addition, naini’s explanations about civilization and modernity reveal new angles of his thinking. by reviewing the book, ayatollah naini’s view on the reference to civilization or modernity has been analyzed. and examines the effect of these two in proving the legitimacy of the constitution. this reference to civilization or modernity stands out as a strong argument in proving the legitimacy of the constitutional government. the important finding of this study shows that there is a strong connection between civilization and modernity with knowledge. also, any kind of failure and political-social failure returns to inaction and ignorance.
