چکیده    As a result of the waves crashing into the breakwater, a current will be created inside the breakwater, making the pore pressure. in this study, with the aim of pore pressure reduction, the replacement of environmentally friendly geosynthetic materials as part of the filter layer in the rubble mound breakwaters (rmb) construction at the coastal area of the caspian sea was investigated through the finite element method (fem) analysis. the results show that using the geodrain and geotextile to replace the filter materials has made an acceptable reduction of pore pressure. the total pore pressure obtained for the selected model was equal to 68.6 kpa, while for the main breakwater, by a decrease of 7.8%, this factor was equal to 74.4 kpa. the materials used as filter layers in rmb have a shallow thickness compared to ordinary filters, which have reduced earthworks volume.
