چکیده    High-order harmonic generation of atomic and molecular gases enables the production of high energy photons and ultrashort isolated pulses. obtaining similar efficient photon energy from solid state systems can lead to more compact uv sources. we show that it is possible to produce high harmonics from monolayer materials. high harmonic generation (hhg) in two-dimensional materials by driving strong field laser is investigated by time-dependent density functional theory. these new 2d materials have attracted profound interest opening the possibility to find semiconductor materials with unexplored properties. high harmonic generation in 2d materials is of particular interest because 2d systems exhibit distinct electronic properties. in this study, we measured the high-order harmonic spectrum of monolayer hexagonal boron nitride and gallium nitride using a linear laser with a wavelength of 1600 nm and an intensity of 2×10^11 w/cm^2 and a cycle number of 10. we explain that gallium nitride shows more intensity in low-order odd harmonics.
