کاربرد پلیمرهای زیست تخریب‌پذیر ساخت دست بشر در بسته‌بندی مواد غذایی

پلیمرها به دلیل ویژگی‌های گوناگونی مانند نرمی، سبکی و شفافیت به عنوان ماده اصلی در تولید بسته‌بندی‌ها استفاده می‌شوند. از آنجایی که زیست پلیمرها از منابع تجدیدپذیر به دست می‌آیند، زیست تخریب‌پذیر می‌باشند. تجزیه ناپذیری پلیمرهای سنتزی منجر به مشکلات جدی زیست محیطی شده‌است. دلیل اصلی زیست تخریب‌پذیر نبودن پلاستیک‌های معمولی، طویل بودن طول مولکول پلیمر و پیوند قوی بین مونومرهای آن بوده که تجزیه توسط موجودات را با مشکل مواجه می‌کند. جایگزینی کامل پلیمرها با فیلم‌های زیست تخریب‌پذیر، امری غیر ممکن است اما به منظور کاربردهای ویژه‌ای همچون بسته‌بندی مواد غذایی، می‌توان از ترکیبات زیست تجزیه‌پذیر استفاده کرد. در این مقاله به زیست پلیمرهای مصنوعی (ساخت بشر) مورد استفاده در بسته بندی مواد غذایی پرداخته خواهد شد.

Application of man-made biodegradable polymers in food packaging

Plastics are widely used to produce packaging materials due to their performance and ease of production. The increased use of plastics has created serious environmental problems for the environment due to their resistance to biological degradation. Biopolymers can be used as a solution to the problems caused by plastics because they easily degrade in the environment and also mimic the properties of conventional polymers. The main reason for the non-biodegradability of ordinary plastics is the long length of the polymer molecule and the strong bond between its monomers, which makes decomposition by organisms difficult. It is impossible to completely replace polymers with biodegradable films, but for special applications such as food packaging, biodegradable compounds can be used. They can be classified as natural, synthetic and modified polymers. In this article, synthetic biopolymers (man-made) used in food packaging will be discussed.
