لاکتوفرین شیر در برابر عفونت های ویروسی

لاکتوفرین، یکی از گلیکوپروتئین‌های موجود در شیر دام‌هایی مانند گاو، گاومیش و شتر است که شیر شتر دارای بیشترین مقدار است. لاکتوفرین با محافظت از سلول ها در برابر عفونت ها و التهاب های باکتریایی و ویروسی، سیستم ایمنی را تقویت می کند. فعال سازی، تکثیر و تنظیم عمل فاگوسیتی سلول های ایمنی نیز توسط لاکتوفرین تسهیل می شود. لاکتوفرین ممکن است به طور مستقیم با مولکول های ویروسی یا با گیرنده های ویروسی در سطح سلول ارتباط برقرار کند تا از چسبندگی و ورود ویروس به سلول ها و ایجاد عفونت جلوگیری کند. اثرات ضد ویروسی لاکتوفرین بر علیه ویروس‌های dna و rna مانند هپاتیت، ویروس‌های هرپس سیمپلکس، hiv، روتاویروس و ویروس‌های تنفسی از طریق اتصال به ذرات ویروسی، مهار چسبندگی ویروس به سلول‌های هدف است. همچنین، لاکتوفرین ممکن است مستقیماً با گیرنده های ویروسی مانند سولفات هپاران روی سطوح سلولی تداخل داشته باشد و از چسبیدن ویروس جلوگیری کند. بنابراین لاکتوفرین شیر ممکن است یک مکمل کمکی و درمان پیشگیرانه برای عفونت‌های ویروسی شدید باشد، اما برای تایید دوز مناسب لاکتوفرین در پیشگیری و درمان عفونت، به تحقیقات بیشتری نیاز است.

Milk lactoferrin against viral infections

Lactoferrin is one glycoprotein detected in the livestock milk such as cow, buffalo and camel; as camel milk containing highest amount. Lactoferrin boosts the immune system by protecting the cells against bacterial and viral infections and inflammations. Activation, proliferation and regulation of the phagocytic action of immune cells are also facilitated by the lactoferrin. Lactoferrin may directly interact with viral molecules or the viral receptors on the cellular surface to prevent the virus attachment and entry and infection. The antiviral actions of lactoferrin are against both DNA and RNA viruses such as hepatitis, herpes simplex viruses, HIV, rotavirus and respiratory viruses by binding viral particles, inhibit viral adhesion and entry into target cells. Also, lactoferrin may directly interact with viral receptor such as heparan sulfate on the cell surfaces and prevent the virus attachment and infection. Therefore, milk lactoferrin may be an adjunct supplement and preventative treatment for severe viral infections. However, it needs more researches to confirm proper dosage on prevention and treatment.
