Methanol, or methyl alcohol, is the simplestalcohol, appearing as a colorless liquid with adistinctive smell. nowadays, it is considered oneof the most useful chemical compounds. in fact, itis one of the most promising building blocks forobtaining more complex chemical structures,such as acetic acid, methyl tertiary butyl ether,dimethyl ether, methylamine, etc. furthermore,methanol is also considered a promising cleanburningfuel with a high octane number. themain purpose of this paper is to investigate thefeasibility of methanol production from glucosefermentation process.
