چکیده    Since 2000, the global oil and gas market has witnessed extreme price volatility in the crude oil market. the crude oil prices jumped from as low as us$16 per barrel in november 2001 to a high of us$144 per barrel in july 2008 (eia, 2018). subsequently, oil price fell by 74% from us$144 per barrel in july 2008 to us$37 per barrel in december 2008. the crude oil price fell by 60% during june 2015 and january 2015, and by 61% during may 2015 and january 2016 (eia, 2018). the research finds out the critical elements to manage the talent in the face of price volatility in oil and gas sector. the aim is to know the best practices followed by organizations and also the deliberation of what better can be done by the human resource department. the human resource department in these organization witnessed a critical time in managing the human resource- understanding their experience and understanding is crucial to formulate the plan ahead.
