In this work, a novel method based on solid phaseextraction process was evaluated for the extractionand determination of some homo and heteropolycyclicaromatic hydrocarbons in persian gulfwater. in this ragards, at first magnetitenanoparticles were synthesized and then werecoated with a metal-organic framework layer.afterwards, the magnetic nanocomposite wascarbonized under an n2 atmosphere to obtain themagnetic porous carbon. various characterizationtechniques such as ft-ir spectroscopy, elementalanalysis (edx), transmission and scanningelectron microcopies were employed. fourdifferent polycylic aromatic carbons includingbenzothiophene, dibenzothiophene, 9,10-dimethylanthracene, and benz[α]anthracene wereextracted with the fabricated nanocomposites.under the optimized conditions, limits of detectionand linear dynamic range were achieved in therange of 0.06-0.18 μg l-1 and 0.25-500 μg l-1,respectively. precision of the method as rsds wasevaluated which was in the range of 4.2-7.0%(within-day, n = 5) and 8.2-11.3% (between-day, n= 3). ultimately, the method was applied to analyzethe persian gulf water sample and satisfactoryresults were obtained.
