چکیده

Psychologist mihalyi csikszentmihalyi has used the concept of flow to describe a mental state resulting from peak experiences in which the level of challenge is high, but manageable given a person’s skills. learners in the state of flow have more active participation in learning tasks and set one learning objective for themselves. they neglect other thoughts or distractors and have higher sense of pleasure and satisfaction. on the other hand, spiritual intelligence is regarded as the ability to create meaning based on a deep comprehension of existential tenets, the ability to access higher meanings, values, and unconscious aspects of the self, and to use multiple levels of consciousness in problem solving. this study aims to find the relationship between efl learners’ spiritual intelligence and their perceived flow in online classes during covid 19. for this purpose, 43 efl learners completed king’s (2008) spiritual intelligence inventory and hwang et al.’s (2012) inventory of learners’ flow. results showed that there is a positive relationship between efl learners’ spiritual intelligence and the flow perceived in online classes. the study concludes by considering ways in which spiritual intelligence activities may be incorporated into online classes.
