چالش اخلاقی مهندسی ژنتیک در راستای درمان، بهبود عملکرد انسانی و بهسازی اخلاقی

دسترسی به فناوری های نوین به صورت چشمگیری در حال رشد است. پیچیدگی مشکلات و معضلاتی که امروزه بشر با آن مواجه است تمایل به استفاده از روش های نوین برای برطرف نمودن مشکلات پیش رو را افزایش داده است. کاستن درد و رنجی که جامعه انسانی از بیماری های لاعلاج ارثی و ژنتیکی متحمل می شود و برآوردنِ خواسته هایی که بهزیستی را به ارمغان می آورد، مهم ترین دلایلی است که استفاده از فناوری مهندسی ژنتیک برای درمان و تقویت ژنتیکِ انسانی را از نظر اخلاقی تجویز می کند؛ اما اندیشمندان بسیاری بهره بردن از این روش نوین و دست کاری مستقیم ژنوم انسان برای تامین مقاصد درمانی یا بهبود فرم و ساختار فیزیکی و عملکردی انسان را اخلاقی نمی دانند و بر این باورند که حتی ثمربخشی احتمالی این فناوری در جهت بهسازی اخلاق انسانی مسیر اخلاقی بودن آن را هموار نمی سازد. این مقاله، نخست، مهندسی ژنتیک و تقویت ژنتیکی را در دایره دانشِ زیست فناوری تبیین؛ سپس، دلایل بر نفع و بر ضدّ اخلاقی بودن مهندسی ژنتیکِ انسانی را در قالب صورت بندی منطقی ارائه می‌کند و مورد بررسی و ارزیابی قرار می‌دهد. بازی در نقش خدا، غیر طبیعی بودن، غیر اصیل بودن و اصل رعایت حقوق دیگران از جمله مهم ترین دلایلی است که مخالفان اخلاقی بودن مهندسی ژنتیک به نفع ادعای خود مطرح می کنند.

the ethical challenge of genetic engineering in line with treatment, human performance improvement, and ethical improvement

access to new technologies is growing dramatically. on the other hand, the complexity of the problems and dilemmas that human beings face today has increased the tendency to use new methods to solve the leading problems. reducing the suffering that human society suffers from incurable hereditary and genetic diseases and satisfying the demands that bring about well-being are the most important reasons that morally prescribe the use of genetic engineering technology for the treatment and enhancement of human genetics; however, many thinkers do not consider it ethical to use this new method and direct manipulation of the human genome for therapeutic purposes or improvement of the physical and functional form and structure of human beings. they believe that even the possible fruitfulness of this technology in order to improve human morality does not pave the way for it to be ethical. first, this article explains genetic engineering and genetic enhancement in the field of biotechnology; then, it presents the reasons for and against the ethics of human genetic engineering in a logical formulation and examines and evaluates it. playing the role of god, being unnatural, unoriginal, and the principle of respecting the rights of others are among the most important reasons given by moral opponents of genetic engineering in favor of their claim.
