Abstract

rubāʿi has been existed whether before or after Khayyam in Persian literatureand it was brought out (has been written)by Iranian poets such asRūdhakī,Daqiqi,Farrukhi Sistani, ‘Unṣurī, Abū Saʿīd Abū'l-Khayr, KhwajaAbdullah Ansari(Sage of Herat), Amīr Mu‘izzī, Farīd ud-Dīn ʿAṭṭār,Mevlânâ Jalāl ad-Dīn etc. Although among these poets only Khayyam'spoems have been admired by everyone and translated into differentlanguages.Hakim Omar Khayyam Nishaburi was a famous Iranian poet, mathematician, astronomer and philosopher who lived in the late fifth andearly sixth centuries. Although he was expert in most of the sciences, hisworldwide fame is mostly due to his quatrains. Since the 19th century,Khayyam's quatrains have been translated into English and has becomeworld famous. There have also been many translations of Khayyam'squatrains in Turkish literature. however, the name of Khayyam was notwidely mentioned in the Classic Turkish Literature before the eleventhcentury (seventeenth century AH). But from this century onwards, Turkishpoets have mentioned Khayyam and his quatrains in their works. In theClassic Turkish Literature the poet who is known for his quatrains and hasbeen mentioned in sources such as Master of quatrains and Rome'sKhayyam is Mustafa Azmizadeh Haleti ''. He is a poet of the seventeenthcentury and has ordered over a thousand quatrains. These poems are morethan other quatrains of the Turkic poets, they are so important in terms ofaesthetics .That is why the Haleti's greatness and ability both in his area andafter was wildly excepted by other poets. These quatrains are dealt withvarious topics which are also discussed in other forms of poetry;likelove, lonlyness, complain, death, pessimism and etc.In the present research theresearcher will work on the concept of pessimism that has been discussedand dealt in Khayyam and Haleti's quatrains.
