Prompt progress in various industries, population increase, and ecologic necessities has made a challenge for utilities to provide enough electricity for their grid subscribers. power grid thus need enough reservation storage for emergencies and critical conditions to maintain stability and prevent widespread outages. lowering the consumption peak will allow utilities to reduce power production, giving power plants a longer life cycle. to implement this, such various strategies such as demand side management, hems, energy storage system deployment, power storage, etc. are available. in this article, following a review of the most prominent methods and strategies for peak shaving and energy management, a novel hardware system was proposed for managing and monitoring environmental conditions based on processing input data from sensors deployed in the environment. to evaluate its performance, the system was assessed in two scenarios. the paper was concluded with suggestions for further research into improving efficiency.
