چکیده    Trnsys is a powerful building simulation software widely used for transient simulation of thermal systems in commercial and residential buildings. in the current study, an office building using a solar thermal system is simulated by trnsys software in order to monitor the transient dynamic of the solar powered heating system. the model calculates the space heating needs during the heating period as well as the annual domestic hot water needs of an office building in kerman, iran. the contribution of the solar system and the thermal load covered by the conventional auxiliary system are determined for both space heating and domestic hot water, considering the respective simulation periods. the results proved that the solar powered heating system meets the heating loads and maintains the desired setpoint temperature, 25oc.
