مروری بر پایگاه دانش عمومی dbpedia و کاربردهای آن در حوزه های مختلف

امروزه استفاده از داده های پیوندی موجود بر روی وب به عنوان منبع داده در حوزه های مختلف، افزایش بسیاری یافته است. یکی از پروژه های باز داده پیوندی، پایگاه دانش dbpedia است. پروژه مفروض تلاشی گروهی برای استخراج اطلاعات ساختیافته از دانشنامه ی ویکیپدیا در 125 زبان مختلف و ساخت اطلاعات قابل دستیابی برروی وب است. پایگاه دانش حاصل بیش از 6.6 میلیون موجودیت را شامل می شود که برای هرکدام از موجودیت ها یک شماره شناسایی جهانی (globally unique identifier) تعریف می کند. از آن‏جایی ‏که پایگاه ‏دانش dbpedia محدوده ‏ی وسیعی از حوزه‏ ها را پوشش می ‏دهد و هم‏پوشانی زیادی با مجموعه ‏داده ‏های کدباز برروی وب دارد، تعداد زیادی از تولیدکنندگان داده، پیوندهایی به آن ایجاد کرده ‏اند. درمقابل dbpedia نیز پیوندهای زیادی با دیگر مجموعه داده های موجود در داده پیوندی دارد. به ‏علت فراوانی پیوندها و هم‏چنین گوناگونی حوزه ‏های موجود در dbpedia، این مجموعه داده به قطب مرکزی برای وب‏ داده ای تبدیل شده است. با توجه به اهمیت بسیار زیاد پایگاه دانش مذکور در دنیای وب، این مقاله به بررسی اجمالی dbpedia، روش های دستیابی به داده های موجود در آن و برخی از کاربردهای آن در حوزه های مختلف می پردازد.

A review on DBpedia general knowledge base and its applications in various domains

Nowadays, the use of linked data on the web as a data source in various fields has increased greatly. One of the link open data projects is DBpedia Knowledge Base. The DBpedia project is a community effort to extract structured information from Wikipedia editions in 125 different languages and to make this information accessible on the Web. The resulting DBpedia knowledge base currently describes more than 6.6 million entities that it defines a globally unique identifier for each entity. As DBpedia covers a wide range of domains and has a high degree of conceptual overlap with various open-license datasets that are already available on the Web, an increasing number of data publishers have started to set links from their data sources to DBpedia. On the other hand, DBpedia has many links to other datasets in the linked data. These incoming links, together with the outgoing links published by the DBpedia project as well as the variety of domains in it, make DBpedia one of the central interlinking hubs of the emerging Web of Data. Given the great importance of this knowledge base in the web world, this article provides an overview of DBpedia, the methods of accessing the data contained in it and some of its applications in various domains
