چکیده    Due to the needs of today's society, coatings with hydrophobic and superhydrophobic properties have received much attention. extensive studies have been conducted in the field of hydrophobic coatings. the use of fluoride polymers in coatings, in addition to its hydrophobic properties, has many advantages. this is due to the unique properties of these polymers, including excellent thermal and chemical stability, low surface energy, low dielectric constant and resistance to weathering and corrosion. the main feature of fluorine-containing polymers is the strong c-f bond and the covalent bonding of carbon and fluorine. in this research, a copolymer of methyl methacrylate, butyl acrylate, styrene and fluorinated acrylate monomer has been synthesized by solvent polymerization method. in order to investigate the surface properties of fluorine-containing acrylate copolymer, several samples with different percentages of fluorine-containing monomer (10, 20 and 30%) were prepared and another sample without fluoride was considered as a control sample. the characteristics of the synthesized products were examined by various tests including infrared spectroscopy, contact angle, scanning electron microscope, and calorimetric heat test. as a result of the contact angle tests, the process of improving the hydrophobicity is evident following the increase in the weight percentage of fluoroacrylate monomer. in the copolymer containing 30% fluoroacrylate, we reached a contact angle of about 103 degrees.

Abstract    Due to the needs of today's society, coatings with hydrophobic and superhydrophobic properties have received much attention.
