چکیده    Four kinds of polymerized toners with average sizes around 100 nm and glass transition temperatures around 60-70˚c have prepared directly by in situ emulsion copolymerization of a mixture of styrene/butyl acrylate in presence of carbon black as pigment. the colorant of the black toner is carbon black and it is important to use the suitable amount of carbon black. in the present study, the color properties of toners with different amounts of pigment in different ratios of monomers have been investigated. the findings indicate that the color properties of the toner are improved by increasing the amount of pigment. also, by increasing the amount of styrene monomer compared to butyl acrylate, the color properties of the toner are improved. the analyses were performed to characterize the produced toners, including differential scanning calorimetry(dsc), dynamic light scattering(dls) and cie l*a*b* color scales.

Abstract    Four kinds of polymerized toners with average sizes around 100 nm and glass transition temperatures around 60-70˚C have prepared directly by in situ emulsion copolymerization of a mixture of styrene/butyl acrylate in presence of carbon black as pigment.
