چکیده    In this study, 4-amino coumarin was successfully synthesized via the thermal reaction of 4-hydroxy coumarin with ammonium acetate. this compound was then reacted as an new enamine–type coupling component with some diazonium salts derived from mono-substituted aromatic amines to afford the corresponding dyes. the structures of obtained dyes were confirmed by infra-red, nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectroscopic techniques. the outcomes of study have revealed that the prepared dyes exist as hydrazone-imine tautomeric structure in both dolid and solution states. the solvatochromism properties of dyes have been investigated in various solvents.

Abstract    In this study, 4-amino coumarin was successfully synthesized via the thermal reaction of 4-hydroxy coumarin with ammonium acetate.
