چکیده    Seed coating is a technique of coatings seeds with adhesives to apply active ingredients that increases seed quality and performance. a coating can include: binders, fillers, active components (protectants, nutrients, symbionts, soil adjuvants, phytoactive promoters, tracers, growth stimulants, microorganisms), hydrogels and nanomaterials. nanomaterials have a high surface-to-volume ratio, high reactivity and high mechanical, thermal and chemical stability, which has led to their widespread use. nano carrier systems for encapsulating agrochemicals can help agriculture. they are used to deliver pesticides, micronutrients and fertilizers that reduce the dose required for effectiveness and lead to controlled delivery. nanomaterials can increase drought stress tolerance. the use of nanomaterials in low concentrations has beneficial effects on plant growth, but in high concentrations inhibits growth, because the uptake of nanoparticles by plants can lead to their accumulation in different plant tissues, in the short or long term will have potential adverse effects. this review investigate the nanomaterials used in seed coatings.

Abstract    Seed coating is a technique of coatings seeds with adhesives to apply active ingredients that increases seed quality and performance.
