چکیده    Corrosion resistance and physical properties of polyurethane coating containing two anti-corrosion components were investigated in the presence and absence of a thin layer of the conversion coating. the results were obtained from electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (eis) after immersion of species in 3.5 wt. % nacl for 60 days depicted that samples with an extra conversion coating layer had more distinguished rct and qdl than species without conversion coating. in contrast, even if rc was larger in the presence conversion coating until the 25 days of immersion, after that the additional primary layer caused a decrease in rc and qc parameters. these consequents clarified that the conversion coating is not compatible with the organic coating, and it did not absorb the components produced in the organic coating. on the other hand, the physical properties of samples were evaluated in equal terms with the eis test, such as hardness, gloss, and color differences, lab. the results depicted that in samples with conversion coating, all of the parameters increased noticeably; however, the increase was not significant until 25 days. in the final stage, the results of two types of tests were analyzed to derive a relation. first and foremost, as long as the eis test was not available, the physical tests practically gloss and hardness could prove the presence of conversion coating despite the non-distractive nature of the two experiments. moreover, the corrosion resistance could be foreseeable by predicting the primary layer of conversion coating from physical tests.

Abstract    Corrosion resistance and physical properties of polyurethane coating containing two anti-corrosion components were investigated in the presence and absence of a thin layer of the conversion coating.
