چکیده    The hybridization of dye molecules in clay lamellar structure has been widely studied during the past decade. in this work the hybridization approach was employed to synthesis a new nanopigment with enhanced properties including high heat and light resistance. in fact, the synthesis of malachite green-montmorillonite nanopigments with different dye-dosage (25%cec, 50%cec, 100%cec and 150%cec) through cation-exchange reaction was studied. the ftir results confirmed the presence of dye molecules in the pigments structures. the morphological properties of the pigments were investigated using xrd analysis. the xrd results suggested the presence of a j-aggregation orientation of dyes in the inter-lamellar spacing of clay sheets (d=4.77nm) in low dye dosage (25%cec) and the presence of a more compact h-aggregation orientation (d=2.08nm) in high dye dosage (100%cec) which demonstrated the increase in the dye content of the hybrid pigments. the chns analysis results showed that the maximum reaction yield was about 75%. the results demonstrated the feasibility of synthesizing a high dye-content malachite green-montmorillonite nanopigment by utilizing 100%cec dye dosage.
