چکیده    The pvc plastisol (paste) is a dispersion of fine particles of resin in a liquid plasticizer in which the particle interactions lead to the formation of microstructures. depending on how such structures respond to the shear stress, one observes different types of flow behavior. yield stress and thixotropy are caused by the same fundamental physics. to obtain the yield stress, a flow curve of shear stress versus shear rate is plotted. given the change of flocculation structure and shear-thinning behavior during the shear period, the herschel-bulkley model is more suitable for calculating the static yield stress of these materials. in this study, static yield stress changes with thixotropy (hysteresis area) were investigated for various industrial pvc plastisol. the results showed that with increasing thixotropy in different samples the yield stress increases.

Abstract    The PVC plastisol (paste) is a dispersion of fine particles of resin in a liquid plasticizer in which the particle interactions lead to the formation of microstructures.
