چکیده    Obtaining the optical properties of materials is very important. one of the most widely used and most straightforward methods is the kubelka-munk theory, which is used to obtain and explain optical properties. the most important assumption made in kubelka-munk theory is that only two upward and downward directions are considered for the motion of light; another weakness of this theory is that the difference in refractive index between the two environments and, therefore, the surface reflection is not considered. by applying saunderson correction, the boundary conditions between the two domains are considered. due to the effect of surface structure on the performance of the kubelka-munk theory as well as saunderson correction, in this study, the effect of saunderson surface modification on the performance of the kubelka-munk theory at surfaces with different surface characteristics has been studied. for this purpose, samples of paint in different glosses and different percentages of the white mixture were prepared. by spectral reflectance measurement of the samples and using the kubelka-munk theory, the samples' absorption and diffusion coefficients were calculated. thus, the samples' surface reflection was reconstructed and predicted using surface correction. the results show that increasing the gloss of the surface increases the effect of saunderson correction.

Abstract    Obtaining the optical properties of materials is very important.
