چکیده    The aim of the present study was to investigate the photocatalytic properties of fe3o4 /mn /graphite composite for the removal of alizarin from aqueous solutions. the experimental results revealed that the prepared fe3o4/mn /graphite composite had higher photocatalytic performance for alizarin removal. however, the optimization of the experiments was performed using response surface methodology (rsm) that designed by expert design software. at the optimum conditions, the maximum alizarin removal efficiency was reached to 89.91% at initial dye concentration: 8 mg/l, initial ph: 8, reaction time: 40 min and fe3o4 /mn /graphite dosage= 0.03 mg/50 ml. thus, this novel fe3o4 /mn /graphite composite could be used as an effective photocatalyst to remove of alizarin dye from aqueous solutions.
