چکیده    Magnesium alloys have received a lot of attention in various industries in recent years due to their unique properties, but their poor surface properties such as oxidation resistance and corrosion have always been a major challenge in the commercialization of these alloys. superhydrophobic coating is one of the solutions that has been proposed in recent years to increase the corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys. in this research, a superhydrophobic surface has been constructed in a single step using the hydrothermal method.the prepared superhhydrophobic surface showed a contact angle of 155°. the morphology of the coating was examined by scanning electron microscopy (sem), surface roughness and topography with a laser profilometer (lpm), the chemical composition of the coating by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ft-ir) and x-ray diffraction (xrd).polarization test was also used to investigate the corrosion behavior, the results of which show a significant increase in corrosion resistance of the prepared superhydrophobic surface.
