چکیده    Bulked continuous filament yarns (bcf) with having a crimp characterization show a different appearance from continuous filament (cf) yarns. at the present work, the color appearance of two polypropylene bcf and cf yarns mass-dyed with one grey shade formulation was measured in cielab color system under standard conditions (illuminant d65, standard observer 100) with a d:80 color-eye 3100 spectrophotometer. the results were compared in sci and sce color measuring modes. the visual evaluation showed that the bcf yarn has a lighter shade than the cf yarn. this issue was confirmed with more lightness value (l*) obtained for the bcf yarn. moreover, the color difference between bcf and cf yarns was about 5 units in both sci and sce modes. the bcf yarn because of the crimp structure, showed less color difference value from sci to sce mode
