چکیده    Although display calibration is mainly done using spectroradiometers, these instruments are expensive and hard to use. digital cameras and mobile phone cameras have become part of everybody's life. taking advantage of these cameras for display calibration makes the process affordable for all users. a new approach of calibration of a display is presented, which involves capturing images of a color target using a digital camera, comparing it with the captured image of the same target with the same camera shown on the target display. then, using a global minimization algorithm, the camera rendered differences of these two images are optimized using manipulation of the displayed image. afterward, a display profile was made using the optimization results. the results showed comparable performance of the proposed algorithm to the calibrator-based methods

Abstract    Although display calibration is mainly done using spectroradiometers, these instruments are expensive and hard to use.
