چکیده    The demand for natural colorants for the dyeing of textile fibers has been increasing gradually in recent years due to a growing global ecological awareness as well as a greater emphasis on a cleaner and greener production process. the eco-friendly dyeing of polyester fiber with prangos ferulaceae natural dye is a novel approach that has been studied in this article. at the first, the some polyester fabrics was modified using uv radiation and some others by cold plasma with nitrogen and argon gases, then the dyeing of polyester fibers with the natural dye was done (at 100 or 130 °c ) without using hazardous metallic mordents. finally, the dyeing performance in terms of color values and color strengths, physical properties of dyed polyester fabric and also, color fastness properties to washing, light and rubbing was investigated. the results indicated that the optimum temperature for dyeing polyester samples is 130 °c, at this temperature; the mentioned natural dye has good stability and is not destroyed. in term of color strength (k/s(, the sample was exposed to uv radiation for 2 hr and then dyed with prangos ferulaceae dye at 130 °c, it has a highest color intensity (k/s=4.87). all dyed samples have excellent fastness against washing and rubbing (dry and wet). moreover, the light fastness of all dyed samples is moderate.
