چکیده    The brown chromite-iron pigment was synthesized by solution combustion synthesis method using a 1: 1 ratio of glycine-urea fuel mixture. the effect of calcination temperature on the structure, microstructure and molecular bonds of the sample was investigated using x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and fourier transform infrared. the infrared chromite spectrum showed fe-o and cr-o bonds. the x-ray diffraction pattern showed changing structure, which occurred with increasing calcination temperature at 750℃. sem micrographs show a porous spongy morphology that has turned into spherical particles such as agglomerates as the calcination temperature increases. the almost dark brown color was determined in the cie l * a * b * color index and the reflectance spectrum for the pigment before calcination.

The almost dark brown color was determined in the CIE L * a * b * color index and the reflectance spectrum for the pigment before calcination.
