چکیده    An efficient, green, and facile four-component reaction for the preparation of 2,4-dichlorosubstituted pyrano [2,3-d]pyrimidines and furo[2,3-d]-pyrimidines through the one-pot condensation of acetophenone derivatives, various aromatic aldehydes (or potassium iodide), malononitrile and carbon tetrachloride is reported. the cerium(iv) ammonium nitrate (can) was used as a single electron oxidant and ionic liquid (htpb) as a green promoter at ambient temperature. the major advantages of this methodology are experimentally simplicity, environmentally benign, non-toxic and inexpensive catalyst, simple workup procedure, without using column chromatography, all of the compounds were isolated in analytically pure form, excellent yields and short reaction times.
